✈️ Air France Wi-Fi Upgrades & Singapore Airlines First Class Returns to Amsterdam
Welcome to Smart With Points, the podcast that helps you navigate the wonderful world of miles and points to unlock incredible travel experiences. I'm your host Jack, and I've got some rather exciting news for you today about Wi-Fi upgrades and the return of some proper luxury to European routes. So grab your coffee, settle in, and let's dive into what's happening in the aviation world that could make your next journey a whole lot more comfortable.
First up, we've got some brilliant news for Flying Blue members who find themselves hopping around Europe on Air France's smaller aircraft. The airline has just started flying its newly refurbished Embraer E one-ninety aircraft, and there's a lovely perk that'll make your regional flights much more productive.
The first upgraded aircraft is already operating on the Paris to Hamburg route, and here's the best bit - all Flying Blue members are getting complimentary Wi-Fi access. Now, if you're not already a Flying Blue member, it's completely free to join, so there's really no excuse not to sign up before your next Air France flight.
This refresh includes all one hundred and ten seats across both Business and Economy cabins. Whilst Air France hasn't shared all the nitty-gritty details yet, we do know that the entire fleet upgrade will be completed by summer two thousand and twenty-four. So if you're planning any European city breaks or business trips on Air France's regional routes, you might just find yourself with a much more connected experience.
Now, let's talk about something for those of you with champagne tastes and the points to match. Starting the first of July two thousand and twenty-six, Singapore Airlines is making a significant upgrade to its Amsterdam to Singapore route by swapping out the Airbus A three-fifty dash nine hundred for the Boeing seven-seven-seven dash three hundred E R.
The big news here is that First Class returns to this route for the first time in years. Now, I know what you're thinking - two thousand and twenty-six feels like an eternity away when we're planning our next holiday. But if you're serious about your points strategy and dreaming of experiencing Singapore Airlines' legendary First Class suites, this is definitely worth keeping in mind.
For those of you who've been saving up your miles or planning a special celebration trip, having First Class available on this route opens up some fantastic redemption opportunities. Singapore Airlines consistently ranks among the world's best airlines, and their First Class product is genuinely something special.
The timing might seem distant, but remember, award space often opens up well in advance, and having this intel now means you can start planning your point accumulation strategy accordingly. Whether you're looking at transferring points from credit card schemes or booking revenue flights to build up your KrisFlyer balance, having nearly two years to prepare is actually quite generous.
That's all we've got time for in today's episode. I hope these updates have given you some food for thought for your future travel plans, whether that's staying connected on European regional routes or dreaming about luxury long-haul redemptions.
